Info Post
Hanuman is a monkey god. He is a noble hero and great devotee of Lord Rama of the Ramayana. He played a very vital role in searching Sita. Hanuman met her in Lanka (now a days called SRI LANKA) and get back with the ring to show Sri Rama, that he had been to Lanka and saw Seetha. (This is popularly known hanuman chalisa)

This deity is a provider of courage, hope, knowledge, intellect and devotion. He is pictured as a robust monkey holding a mace (gada) which is a sign of bravery and having a picture of Lord Rama (it looks like) tatooed but he opens his chest to show Lord Sri rama and Seetha are always in his heart symbolically.

He is also called Mahaveera (the great hero ) or Pavan-suta (son of air) or Bajarangbali.
